Whether it’s a business event, awards evening, cocktail function or special celebration, Unleashed is where movie special effects bring events to life. We can take our events activities off-site too.
From concept to pack down, our crew can flex to your ambitious ideas and craft bespoke events that defy expectations. With special access to the artists and creators at Wētā Workshop, guests can embark on an interactive movie tour, get hands-on with makeup and prosthetic effects, enlist characters to interact with guests or even feature a Wētā Workshop guest speaker. Unleashed invites you to let your imagination run wild.

We are continually improving and enhancing our experiences to ensure they are as inclusive as possible. This includes visually and hearing-impaired visitors too.
Wētā Workshop Unleashed is located on level 5 at 88 Federal Street, SkyCity.
Elevator access is available via Federal Street and Albert Street. All guest parking is located at SkyCity's main site. You'll find accessibility car parks available on every level, located near to the elevators.
Our tour space is designed for wheelchair access including handrails and suitable inclines. A small section of our horror film set is not accessible for wheelchair users, but an alternative route is offered.
Although pushchairs are not recommended for this experience, we are happy to discuss alternative options. Please email us to find out more.
For guests who are sensitive to noise, we offer earmuffs or ear plugs for your comfort.
Our guided tour walks through some small and dark spaces.
Individuals sensitive to stimuli may experience sensory overload, and changes in lighting during the experience may trigger symptoms in those with epilepsy.
